Star Tags for Obsidian

A straightforward Obsidian plugin that scans your entire vault for specific tags (like #todoor anything else you add in the settings) and lists them in a clean, interactive right sidebar panel.

Built to keep track of important blocks across your notes without any bloated features.

Features

  • scans entire vault
  • select from your custom tags
  • highlight the text block which contains tag when you click on it in the sidebar.
  • Automatically prepends a checkbox to #todo tags in the sidebar. You can check/uncheck these in the panel as a visual aid while you work, without altering or editing your original markdown files

How to Use

  1. Click the Star icon in the left ribbon to open the Star Tags panel.
  2. Go to Settings > Star Tags to add tags you want to track (e.g., #bug, #fixme, #note, etc)
  3. To stop tracking a tag, just click the × on the tag pill in settings.
  4. Click any result in the sidebar panel to jump straight to that line in your note.
