Obsidian Charts for Bases

Adds a chart layout to bases so you can display notes as interactive bar or line charts.

• Switch between bar and line charts with adjustable bar width, line smoothing, area fill, and line thickness.
• Select any property for the X-axis, set custom Y-axis min/max, show/hide and rotate axis labels, and customize axis line style and width.
• Aggregate values by X-axis category and optionally split the result into separate series using another property.
• Add reference lines with custom value, name, color, line style, and width.
• Show or hide the legend and choose from 12 placement positions.
• Display value labels on chart elements and override the default chart colors.

Usage

1. Create a new view within your base and select the chart layout.
2. Open the View Settings to configure the X-Axis and select the property you want to use as a category.
3. Open the Properties menu in the top-right corner of the base to select the data for Y-Axis to be used as values.
4. Optional: in Y-Axis, set Aggregation to Sum by X-axis to combine rows with the same X-axis value. Use Series by to split the summed values into separate chart series by another property.

1. Download sandbox.zip from the latest release.
2. Extract the archive and open the folder as a vault in Obsidian.
3. Explore the notes, which serve as interactive documentation for all plugin features.
