Copy the Markdown source of a selection, including headings and math delimiters, not the rendered preview.
Copy Markdown Source
When you copy a selection, the clipboard gets the Markdown source, not the rendered preview.
Native copy from Live Preview or Reading view drops ### heading markers and $$ math fences. Paste still looks right inside Obsidian and wrong everywhere else. This plugin writes text/plain as the source you typed.
Use
Enable the plugin. Select text and copy as usual (Cmd+C). Paste into a chat, email, or editor.
Command: Copy selection as Markdown source.
Example
Copied source:
### (a)
$$
\forall n. A(n) := \exists a,b,c,d \in \mathbb{N}. (a^2+b^2+c^2+d^2=n)
$$
Not the stripped preview:
(a)
\forall n. A(n) := ...
