Fortune Weather Calendar is a personal daily-fortune calendar based on your Bazi (Eight Characters / Four Pillars). It derives each day's weather-style fortune through a four-layer analysis: Natal Chart → Decade Luck (Da Yun) → Year Luck (Liu Nian) → Day Luck (Liu Ri), showing your daily suitable/taboo activities (Yi/Ji), lucky color, auspicious hours, and four-dimensional trends (career, wealth, health, love). Personalization is driven by your birth info and true solar time.

Features

• Home view — opens automatically in the main area when Obsidian starts, showing today's fortune at a glance
• Sidebar widget — a compact daily-fortune card pinned to the right sidebar
• Auto refresh across days — regenerates at open time and re-checks every 5 minutes, so it rolls over at midnight automatically
• Note cards — one-click insert of today's or this week's fortune cards into any note (great for journaling)
• Four-layer engine — natal chart → decade luck → year luck → day luck, not just the day
• Personalized content — favorable element (Xi Shen) decides your lucky color and guidance; Yi/Ji, auspicious hours and direction change daily
• True solar time — birth place longitude corrects your birth time for precise hour pillars
• Modern wording — classical almanac terms are translated into plain, youth-friendly language

Installation

Requires Obsidian 1.5.0 or later.

Option A: BRAT (beta testing)

1. Install the community plugin BRAT
2. Run BRAT: Add a beta plugin for testing from the command palette
3. Enter the repository: QHX-HX/life-weather-forecast
4. Enable "Fortune Weather Calendar"

Option B: Manual

1. Download main.js, manifest.json, styles.css from the latest GitHub Release
2. Put them in <vault>/.obsidian/plugins/fortune-weather-calendar/
3. Settings → Third-party plugins → Enable "Fortune Weather Calendar"

Quick start

1. Open Settings → Fortune Weather Calendar and enter your birth date, time, gender, and birthplace
2. Save — the home view and sidebar widget will show your daily fortune immediately
3. It refreshes automatically every day

⚠️ The default birth info is sample data (1990-08-20 09:30). Be sure to change it to yours.

Usage

Command	Description
Open fortune home	Open the home card in the main area
Toggle sidebar fortune	Toggle the right-sidebar daily card
Insert today's fortune into note	Insert today's card at the cursor
Insert this week's fortune	Insert 7 day cards

How it works

1. Natal chart — Bazi chart (four pillars) with five-element balance and strength
2. Favorable element — derives lucky color, direction and guidance
3. Decade luck — locates the current Da Yun (e.g. 2024–2033)
4. Year luck + Day luck — overlays the year (e.g. 2027 Ding Wei) and day ganzhi for daily Yi/Ji, auspicious hours and four-dimensional trends

• Platform: Desktop and mobile (isDesktopOnly: false)
• Language: Simplified Chinese UI (English description provided)
• Dependency: open-source lunar-javascript (MIT)

• Birth info is stored locally only (data.json); nothing is uploaded
• Content is traditional-culture entertainment; no medical, investment, or legal advice
