Mermaid Lumina
Open a Mermaid diagram in a zoomable lightbox on a bright white canvas. It works in Reading view on desktop and mobile.
In Reading view, click or tap a diagram to open it. In Live Preview, clicking a diagram still edits its source, unless you turn the lightbox on for editing as well.
The lightbox keeps a white background and light diagram colors, so shapes and labels stay readable when the vault is in dark mode.
In the lightbox
- Pinch to zoom, drag to pan, and double-tap to switch between fit and 2×
- Type a zoom percentage in the toolbar
- Use the mouse wheel or the on-screen controls
- Press Esc, or click outside the diagram, to close it
Settings
Open Settings → Mermaid Lumina.
Enable in Live Preview (editing mode) opens the lightbox from a diagram while you are editing. Leave it off to keep Obsidian’s click-to-edit behavior.
Under Backup, Export settings and Import settings save or restore that configuration as mermaid-lumina-settings.json.
