An Obsidian Plugin that forces reading mode, making it persistent.

Plugin is controllable using both keyboard shortcuts and the ribbon menu item.

Installation

  • Download the zip file from Releases
  • Go to Obsidian > Settings > Community Plugins
  • Ensure 'Restricted Mode' is Off in order to use Community Plugins
  • (If not, turn it off and restart obsidian)
  • Click on folder Icon next to 'Installed Plugins' heading
  • Then just extract the 'force-reading-mode' folder here
  • Restart obsidian and turn the Force Reading Mode on

Optional

  • Go to hotkeys and set hotkey of choice
  • Ensure ribbon menu has plugin item from Settings > Appearance > Interface > Ribbon menu configuration
