World Builder

A fiction world-building toolkit for Obsidian: characters, locations, factions, lore entries, and timeline events.

Features

  • Characters — name, role, age, faction, physical description, personality, goals, secrets
  • Locations — name, type, parent location, description, inhabitants, secrets
  • Factions — name, alignment, goals, enemies, allies, description
  • Lore Entries — title, category (history/magic/religion/culture/other), content
  • Timeline Events — date/era, title, description, linked characters/locations
  • World Sidebar — tabbed view across all five entry types

Settings

  • World folder — where all world-building notes are stored (default: World)

For plugin developers

Search results and similarity scores are powered by semantic analysis of your plugin's README. If your plugin isn't appearing for searches you'd expect, try updating your README to clearly describe your plugin's purpose, features, and use cases.
