Owly Relations
Owly Relations is an interactive Obsidian plugin that lets you visualize and manage relationships between people in a virtual “house.” Move people around rooms, create groups, and track everything with a full history.
🚀 Features

Interactive House View
- Drag & drop people between rooms.
- Zoom (scroll wheel) and pan (hold middle click) on the house layout.
- Badges show names, colors, and group emojis.

People Management
- Add, edit, or remove contacts.
- Assign nickname, first name, last name, color, and groups.
- Link a contact to a note and open it with a double click.

Groups
- Create, edit, or delete groups.
- Assign an emoji for easy identification.
- Add people to multiple groups.

Rooms / Pieces
- Define rooms and their description.
- Control visibility of rooms (hidden rooms move people to “outside”).

History Panel
- Track every movement between rooms.
- Add comments to any movement.
- Filter by person or group.
🖱 How to Use
Moving People
- Drag a person’s badge to another room in the house.
- The movements are recorded in the history automatically.
Selecting People
- Click on the badges to select them.
- Select multiple persons through the history section's search bar by searching a group or multiple names.
Editing a Person
- Double-click a badge to open the person's linked note.
- Modify name, color, groups, or linked note.
- The badges displays the nickname in priority.
Managing Groups
- Use the settings panel to create, edit, or delete groups.
- Choose an emoji for each group for visual cues using an emoji picker.
Managing Rooms
- Customize the rooms names, descriptions and visibility to your liking.
📦 Installation
Install and activate OwlyRelations using obsidian's community plugins or :
- Download or clone the plugin into your vault: .obsidian/plugins/owly-relations/
- Enable the plugin in Settings → Community Plugins → RelationshipHouse
- Restart Obsidian if necessary.
⚠️ Notes
- The
house.svgfile must exist in the plugin’sassetsfolder. - Notes linked to people must exist in the vault.
